well, lost Windows password and cannot access Windows?

Option 1: if it is a Windows xp, you can easily reset Windows password with a default admin password which is only stored in Windows xp.
Requirement:
Remember that, this method will only work if you already leave your admin password field blank when installing windows operating system.

  • step 1: Just turn on your computer and wait for your login screen. If you see login window just *** Ctrl Alt Del keys in same time twice.
  • step 2: Now type Administrator (letters are case sensitive) for Username field and leave password field blank and try to login to your computer as a system administrator.

If you can successfully login to your system, now you can easily reset your windows xp password.

  • step 3: Just click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and change or reset your password as you want.

Option 2: with the password hint to get back the lost Windows password again
Requirement: a password hint has created when set a windows password

Option 3: if you have another available admin password, you can also quickly recover forgotten Windows password successfully.

Option 4: use a Windows password recovery tool to reset Windows password. As i know, there are kinds of good enough software to crack password efficiently, like Windows Password Unlocker with a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive

Kindly try this Windows Password Recovery Basic... A CD/DVD, or a bootable Windows PE USB is required (instructions included).

There are many password reset tools, but I haven't personally tested them. Windows Password Recovery Basic is a widely spread edition though...

Once reboot the computer with CD/DVD/USB, remove the lost or forgotten password and then log in to your computer without any password.

You can create a Windows password reset disk to reset your lost or unknown Windows password. I have created one with the tool Windows Password Breaker and used it to reset my administrator password successfully.

Get Windows Password Breaker from: www.recoverwindowspassword.com/

You can reset a lost or forgot Windows password with 4 methods below:

  1. Another valid administrator account which can normally log on.
  2. A password reset disk or a repair disc, which is created in advance ( before you lost password ).
  3. Third-party software to create a bootable password reset CD/DVD or USB, like Windows Password Reset Tool - www.windowspasswordreset.net .
  4. Re-install. Will lose data.

Have you tried starting up in safe mode (press F8 when you start/restart the computer)
If you can get in that way you might be able to make a new administrator account, then try starting up as normal and logging into the new account. Or else, you need to use some password recovery tools to help you solve the problem.
