can an insurance company make the insured pay for "Teardown" of an engine to see any hidden damages? this is happing and I find it odd, just saying

I personally feel that it is wrong on behalf of the insurance company to do this. Let's imagine that the insured has really had a damage and somehow the insurance company proves it the other way round. In that case the insured has to suffer a double damage for no fault of his.
